Tried all SATA ports and 3 different SATA cables, still BSODing. Tried my HDD also, I can't even get into safe mode.

Then I say you've got to RMA the board and he's got some sort of problem with his HD...

That's because you can't simply transfer an OS back and forth. HAL will hate you for it. :P

Very true....
But there still could very be a problem with the HD. You never know with electronics

Oh I'm not saying there's no problem with yellow's friend HD, I'm saying that yellow's HD might not make his friend computer boot because Vista was installed with different hardware.
XP was already a b**** for that, Vista can only be worse.

Unless you clean install Vista on another HD (like yours yellow, or the one Quakin sent) then you won't know if it's the HD or something else (like the mobo)

Sent you a 40Gb HDD today at noon. Sent Priority mail...*might* be there in time for the weekend. It's an older IDE drive, but should serve your purposes quite well.

I just received the HDD today (thanks again Tom). I installed WinXP Pro without a hitch, so I guess it was the HDD in the first place. I might have to do a clean install on their HDD though... I don't know how they'll feel about loosing all their data... well, I figure it out. Thanks again for all the help guys!

Well I'm glad it's not the mobo, RMA's are not fun from what I've seen and heard...
Just transfer all the documents, folders, game saves and stuff over to the 40GB HD, wipe the corrupted HD and drag and drop the files and stuff.
They won't be loosing much, just a couple of settings and there favorites in the web browser.
