OK i finally got it to work, for some reason my F8 didnt work at all yesterday or earlier today, but i figured i may as well give it another shot today before i headed for dinner/studying. So i still dont know what the hell is wrong with it.

Anyway, i started it up in safe mode, couldnt connect to the web, so i did a System Restore. the funny thing is, it did the same failure to completely load up, so i turned it off, and restarted it, booting into safe mode again, but then i selected the boot from last configuration that worked, and well it worked. So now i need to copy all my important stuff and figure out what the hell is wrong with it. So thanks for the extremely useful help.

no, actually a lot of those OEM makers buy mass licenses, and integrate the OS into a CD set.
