If that doesn't solve the issue, reflash the BIOS.....DFI boards are notoriously finnicky
No good, so I'm gonna reflash the BIOS now... we'll see how that goes.

Updated to the latest BIOS with no issues. I'm running Orthos on it right now, at stock settings. Hopefully it'll survive.

GL Nate. And I know I am way late on this but your initial problem with a "too tight" heatsink was probably bending the mobo. I seriously doubt the the pressure itself is what caused the issues. Bending of the mobo can seriously mess things up.

I ran Orthos for an hour on it, no issues. I guess the BIOS update did it. Thanks everyone! Now I just gotta wait for my E8400!

Well it's not the NB heatsink now, nor the BIOS... I put in my E1200 backup CPU while I wait on the E8400 RMA.

Reboot after reboot, with nothing on the screen. The latest BIOS is flashed, and I checked the NB heatsink. Cleared the CMOS like 5 times already and took out the battery for 1 hour already. I remounted the heatsink twice. I triple checked all the connections, and it's on my tech station so I guess it would be easy to see if anything was wrong.

Sometimes it will reboot over and over until I cut power, and sometimes it will reboot 3-4 times then stay on, but with nothing on the screen. Kinda makes me feel stupid, there are people pouring freaking liquid nitogen on there comps, and i can't even build an air cooled one. Help!

Yeah, I guess it's time to go AMD. XD

Seriously, any ideas? I left the battery out overnight, still the same problem, restart after restart... could something be shorting the mobo? I'll check the backplate for the TRUE... other than that, nothing could be shorting because it's on the (rubber, non-conductive) tech station... did something actually die?

I posted on the DFI Club forums, and they think the problem is that the E1200 is not officially supported by the Blood Iron... but that still doesn't explain why it worked before and not now...

You'll always get those types of answers from over there.

RMA the board....thats about the best advice I can give you after the suggestions we've made haven't worked.

Can't RMA, voided the warranty when I used an aftermarket chipset cooler...

I'm going to wait until my E8400 comes back in before I do anything else. Thanks!
