OK,

I am a total DUMBASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot the 8pin 12v power connection for the CPU! Whoops! The fans spun, and the pump pumped, so I assumed the computer was on. Everything works great now. Sorry I was a complete retard. Seemed to forget how to build a computer.......................................... .

BTW...... is 31C with CoreTemps idle good for a water cooling system?

Patience is a virtue. When you watercool you have to look over everything. Although your situation/solution did not pertain to watercooling, learn from it.

Damn skippy! That's an AWESOME temperature man! It could, however, be slightly lower. May have to do with the mounting? It's just like a heatsink - when you think it can be improved, reapply thermal paste and remount.

Now, OC the fu`k out of that chip woo!

EDIT:

Also, the 9000 series cards will be out by then and pretty much the same price points as the 8000 series cards are now - so wish for one of THOSE for a gift

I know I'll be getting a 9800GTX one way or another. Either from a bunch of gift buyers coming together and paying part of the price, or all the money I collect together (whether or not I have to add from my own pocket). That's the main prospect "gift" for me no matter how much or how little I have to do with it!

Now here's the thing that pisses me off................... With the GeminII, the northbridge was happy and cold............. Now with the w/c system, the nb has no direct air flow, and will BSOD with just a moderate OC to 2.4GHz from 1.8GHz that I could easily do with the GeminII. CPU really happy, the NB really sad.

Now it's time for a NB water cooling block! This is where the water cooling system expansion begins! Welcome to the world of "you fuc`ed yourself by going water"!

Lol well no, not entirely. There are some great (and very affordable) NB coolers (meaning fans) out there - just grab one and go.

EDIT:

Newegg.com - Buy Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

There is a list of 8 south/northbridge compatible cooling HSFs that are available at the egg.
