Yes, thats definitely the video card. Yellow, no sweat, if your card took a dump you can RMA it. Most of the time they'll take it back if you just tell them it crapped out and no longer works. Bum one off your friend just to be sure it isn't the bus itself if you cant get it to work. If that happens, you just RMA the mobo. If they won't take back the card (which I'm sure they would), I'll send you my PCI-E 6200. Aint much but it'll put a picture on the screen until you get something else.

I have a VF900, so it's connected directly to the PSU via Molex connector.

@Stormcrow: thanks for the offer! I'll borrow one off a friend to make sure, but I'll RMA it anyway.

make sure you put the stock cooling back on the video card before you RMA it as i dont recall BFG's warranty covering aftermarket cooling

The 8600GT doesn't use a 6-pin connector.

Well then thats the problem! What self respecting video card comes without a 6 pin connector! Send it back and tell them to put one on.

The next one up (the 8600GTS) uses one. The power requirements are not there for the 8600GT.

The 8600GT uses about 45 watts from the PCI-E bus if I remember right, the 8600GTS uses somewhere around 70 so even that doesn't really need the 6-pin it's just there for headroom. And yeah, check with another card to see if its not the PCI-E bus itself, and for any RMA you have to replace the stock heatsink even if the warranty covers changing it. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle though

Well, my "friend" won't let me borrow a card, so I have to assume that it's video card. I e-mailed BFG, still haven't recieved a response.
