OK, I tried the 81.98 drivers and they sucked. The performance of BF 2142 was so bad that I had to turn off most of the AA and AF settings. So I downloaded the Optimized drivers from NGOHQ.com. They work about as well as the 93.xx drivers from Nvidia except now the sound is muffled and garbled in game. So I think I'm gonna stick with the 93.xx drivers. I guess I will not be able to play Madden 2004.

Have you tried checking to see if there's an update out for the game itself? The folks that produce the games often publish game patches to deal with video card incompatibilities/updated hardware.

Yes there is an update for the game. But it is so fricken huge that my dial-up will disconnect before it gets finished downloading and will have to start it over again. Unless I want to search around EA'S HUGE website for hours trying to find the update manuely and put it in my download manager. May be the only way to play..lol.

Edit: Fixed sound problem. Had nothing to do with the optimized driver install. Reinstalling those btw. Sound problem was with a TV card I installed a week ago that just now decided to go out. I had the audio line looped into my speakers along with regular audio out on pc with a Y adapter. All I needed to do was unplug it. Sound problem fixed.

LMAO.. I know. Beat me father!! Beat some sense into me now!. I can't get dsl or cable out here Been fighting with SBC/AT&T for 3 years now and they still wont get it out here. I am currently in the process of buying a house in the neighboring town. I know it has dsl there cause I called phone co and checked. If I do get this house, all you BF 2142 players here better line up cause I am SICK to death of playing with the STUPID AI players!
