Default Re: Logitech communicate STX

you had mentioned in another thread that you do not have the 6pin power connector hooked into your 8600GT??? this could be one main reason right there.... or did I read that wrong??

Thanks HL and Corsair!

No..I think someone assumed it had a 6pin.The connection on the top is for SLI I think.

FINAL FIX
Here is my final thread that gives the link for the repair patch from M$ for this issue as well as the correct updated drivers patch for this specific Logitech webcam. Also note that it is important to know that if you are running 4 x 1GB of mem. sticks,it is recommended by Logitech that you also disable memmory mapping in your BIOS.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941600 (was released after weeks of torture)This link is for x32 and x64 bit Vista(repair patch for USB drivers)

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=A7AC2F4D-E66C-4B1C-BBDA-1C6A9F18B14C&displaylang=en (this link for x64 bit Vista only)

NOTE:
The link for the Logitech Communicate STX Quickcam is for a system running Win Vista x64 bit ONLY.If anyone has any problems with their new cam like this one, dont hesitate to contact me for help.

I would also like to extend a warm hand shake to all who helped me with this never ending issue, along with Logiteck support and M$ support.
