Looking at the video, are you sure you aren't just trying to play a DOS2.0 version of Tetris?

That is interesting...

looking some info up online, I see this link which may or not be of any help:

Answer

and a beta driver which may or may not be the same driver you have

http://www.logitech.com/pub/techsupp...bitDrivers.exe

Your webcam had native support in Vista/Longhorn beta RC1 according to their HCL... but there was a note: Works either by installing XP driver or by using Windows Update Reg-Hack
What this entails I do not know...

Another link to another driver from one of those free download sites - I cannot guarantee the results from this file, I suggest scanning it with every security program you have available before trusting it

Download Logitech QuickCam 64bit Driver 11.0.0.1217 WHQL Driver for Windows Vista - Softpedia

hopefully this helps or maybe point you in a different direction...

Thanks HL and Corsair!

Thanks for taking a look...I have been over them pages in this free for all with this cam.I know it isnt a camera issue itself.I will be taking my pc apart maybe tomorrow. The boss called me in to work without any advanced notice this morning so today got wiped.Im going to uninstall the HP all in one ,remove the 2 added stix of RAM,uninstall the dvd/cd drivers, and any other aftermarket added program that didnt come with the Vista disc, reboot and go from there.I want to clean inside the case anyway so may as well get it all done at once.

I uninstalled my HP all in one, removed 2 sticks of RAM,uninstalled STEAM and now it works.......kinda almost.I still have the problem of it changing the color bit from 32bit to 8 bit,and I have to change it manually. Now what?

I see we have a room full of smart :bootyshake:'s today.
Im happy to have my cam working since CHRISTMAS and you bust me _ _llz. I just can never play my games on steam,or ever use my all in one or add more ram. May as well just shoot me already.

I thought you were sick...one4 Oh I see,not too sick to pick on a poor decrepid feeble old man when he's down in the dregs of humanity,or is that insanity? :bird:

OK smarty pants, why is my camera automatically changing my color bit to 8bit?

try adding the memory back in, does it mess up again? probably does. If so remove the memory and reinstall Steam... does it mess up again? not likely... I suspect this has something to do with the memory allocation and USB connected items that the cam happens to have a problem with. Hopefully MS will update some coding to fix this later down the road but not likely until Windows 7

I understand what your saying....but as it stands at the moment with all unhooked/uninstalled devises,it still has a problem.Atleast it is narrowed down to the specific issue of automatic color bit changing.I have sent a request to Logitech support stating all I did,and what is happening.I searched the support website for this specific issue and found nothing.Another thing I found out was Adobe that I had installed on here wasn"t playing nice.I uninstalled that too.I found the recently updated Adobe and now they play nice together.
Personally I think it's the RAM causing the main problem. That will be the first install after lunch (ground venison meatloaf with mushroom and sweet onion sandwich)

UPDATE: I introduced the RAM back into the system. That webcam and extra RAM dont play nice together, hence the disturbance.
As far as the color bit change, clueless at this point.
