| Try this: 1. Power down PC 2. Switch PSU power button to off 3. Unplug main power cable from back of PSU 4. Remove clear CMOS jumper and place on the middle and 3rd pin. Keep like this for atleast 10 seconds 5. Replace jumper to normal postion 6. Plug power cable back into PSU and boot up 7. Go into bios and set original timings 2-2-2-5 or whatever 8. Don't ever loosen timings on memory that is meant to run 2-2-2-5 unless you are running significantly higher frequencies. 9. Go bang your head into the wall. Sike! | well originally it was at 2.5-3-3-6, then i tightened it to 2-2-2-5 and then tried to loosen it to 3-3-3-8. But anyyways it still won't post. So i didn't get past step 6. | We take both criticism and positive comments very positively | pop the battery out of the board and put the jumpers at clear for 15-20 minutes. I doubt your memory is bad, but if you aren't pushing too much voltage through them, and haven't removed the heat spreaders...your warranty should be fine. First, try the battery thing, if that doesn't work, try one stick of memory in each DIMM slot, if none of the DIMM slots work....try another set of memory, if that doesn't work i'd look at the board as the problem INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU |

| ok i popped the battery and replaced the jumpers again, bending two of them at the same time. DOH I've already replaced the memory into the other two slots, from both orange to both yellow and now i'll report back in 20 mintues. DFI is about as good as you'll get, ASUS is pretty good, as MSI, but I doubt any will run 300FSB 24/7 without good coooling and supporting components INTEL QX9650 // Gigabyte EP45 Extreme // 8GB PC2-8500 // BFG GTX260 MaxCore // DD Torture Rack // Seagate 750GB HDD // OCZ Vendetta // PC Power & Cooling 620W PSU | |
