It might not exactly be out yet. The first reviews have just started appearing on the internet. See if you can buy it straight from Swiftech. ![]() D-Tek Fuzion, MCP655, MCR220

It might be fairly large, but its performance is far better than the bigwater. The radiator uses a 120mm fan. The Lian Li PC-7B has a rear 120mm fan. You could mount the radiator on the outside of the system. swiftech includes a mounting system with the rad. The pump and res can easily go into the 5.25" area, or under the expansion cards if you have room. As a last option, you can always mount them on the outside of the case. Its a very nice system, and for $180 its a steal I would say. Might want to get a little more expensive version with dual 120mm rad as it performs better.

Yes, but if I mount the rad on the outside, I will have to drill holes for the hoses. I'm having serious doubts about all this water cooling stuff. Maybe I should just grab a Zalman 9700NT and be done with it. And yes, I checked and you CAN order the compact directly from Swiftech. ![]()

Yea, crappy pump. They revised it but I personally feel that the original Bigwater has already tarnished the name "Bigwater" for TT and they should not use it anymore but nobody listens to me... Well, 760i is coming out and that one is a mid level water cooler. You want high end stuff you will have to get high end parts. TT = water cooling bling more than super performance. To All, please PM me if you have any doubts on buying anything TT... I will give you the lowdown on what I really think. No BS.

| HL's Technomancer | I'm thinking of upgrading my air cooler, and so far this seems to be the winner for me: Newegg.com - Thermaltake CL-P0401 110mm Full-Range Fan CPU Cooler - Retail I find water cooling a little too expensive, but a great investment if you can spare the cash. New systems don't have all the problems with leaks, corrosion, and frying out components. I say you should give it another shot and just pick up the different parts and assemble your own setup, like an Apogee GT block, good Swiftech or Dangerden pump, Radiator with a 120mm fan, a decent acrylic reservoir and your choice of tubing. Then you can add on as you go. |

I have been thinking about what Stormcrow said and I came up with this: CPU Block/Pump: Swiftech Apogee Drive - $100 from Swiftech website Rad: Swiftech MCR-220 - $35 on Newegg Res: Swiftech MCRES-MICRO - $20 from Swiftech website Tubing: Tygon 3603 Tubing 1/2" ID 3/4" OD - $15 on DangerDen website Question: Will the pump on the Apogee Drive be able to power the loop? Question 2: Will i need to buy additional barbs, or all the connections 1/2" already? Question 3: Is this loop better than the Swiftech Compact system? ![]()

Hey yellow, Since you are on a budget you might consider getting cheaper tubing than tygon. Masterkleer or clearflex is also good tubing. The Apogee Drive will be able to power the loop, yup :) Is the loop better? Hell freakin ye'! You have a dual 120mm radiator, while the compact loop uses a 1x 120mm rad. This means your rad will be able to remove more heat from the loop. Make sure you get two very nice 120mm fans like yate loons. You also have a reservoir which also helps remove some heat, but not a lot. More fluid in the system means the heat can be dispersed through the liquid causing a lower temperature. For $160, thats a very nice loop! Since you're on a budget, you might want to consider getting everything at 1-2 stores instead of 3. You'll save like $5-10 on shipping. -robodude666

OK, well it seems that nobody is selling the Apogee Drive yet (not even Swiftech; I made a mistake) Seems I will get the Apogee GT and a seperate pump. Does anyone know of a cheap but good pump? Also, does anyone know when the Apogee Drive will be selling? ![]()
