A new pump wouldn't work because the tubing size is not the same.
The tubing on the Bigwater is 3/8 in.

I bought the Bigwater today, so yes, I can return it. Just the pump or the whole kit?

I never thought i'd have to quote myself and say this
QFT
try tapping it with a screwdriver or something, if it loosens up and does it's thing you're set.

wow, that was a quick 180 on the Gemin! so is it safe to say that you would not recommend the GeminII any longer?

oh wow.... TT BigWater... Yea, avoid if possible. You can buy a custom LC system for $200 with quality parts.

The BigWater has been known to leak at the barbs. The reservoir has also been known to crack and leak.

RadioShack and Thermaltake have some sort of business deal with each other. Radioshack sells a TON of thermaltake stuff. My local Radioshack has an entire system display case with a lot of thermaltake products.

Petra'sTech CoolKit Lite - Rev.2 (Out of Stock) - $136
Petra's Tech Shop

Petra'sTech CoolKit Basic - Rev.2 - $219
Petra's Tech Shop

Petra'sTech CoolKit: DangerDen Lover's Edition - $230
Petra's Tech Shop

The bottom two are more expensive than a bigwater, but far better.

Yep, not recommending anymore. Great cooler, HORRIBLE mounting system.

I returned it, and I now need recommendations on a new air cooler now.

I'd take that cash, if you got it refunded, and spend out for a custom system. Just get a nice waterblock, radiator, reservoir, and a good pump and you'll be set. Then later on you'd be able to add in a GPU block, and memory/HDD coolers if you wanted. A good investment if you can fork out for it, the simple fact of getting rid of those Hoover's spinning in the case is good enough.

Definitely. If you are legitimately interested in setting up a water cooling system just say so and we can spec something out. W/C need not be expensive to get good results, and when done right, is completely safe. I was writing a guide on it, but I've been slacking.

OK, the one thing that no one mentioned was the possibility of a vapor lock. This is common with small line water cool systems. If you ever mess with this again turn the case upside down, tilt it to the side, and even shake it a little to work out any air trapped in the system. Good luck next time.
