Strange, I run CPUmon and it reads 3195 MHz at the same time CPU-Z reads 2000MHz. I think someone is lieing to me.

sounds like you have the BIOS set to automatically reduce the speed if there is no usage. I would not worry about this, CPUmon is likely just reading what the rated speed is not the current speed it may be running at.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

So since memory and CPU seem to be ok, do i just have to wait until I see the blue screen again? WOuld it be smart to RMA the HD just to be sure?

I would wait until another appears. If it was a random one time BSOD, then there shouldn't really be any real problem.

Ok I got a BSOD error "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL"
0x0000000A (0x8e3ddc04 0x0000001c 0x00000001 0x804fc7bb
while playing crysis. At first, the computer would freeze after about 5mins of playing the game. Then I got the blue screen. I had to rest twice to get the computer to reboot to windows. All the BIOS opens are on default. How do I norrow done the problem. I am going to run memtest for a few hours and then reseat my CPU heatsink. Could a fresh install of windows solve the problem? After that, the only thing I can think of is to start RMAing the components back hoping to get lucky.

Uh oh, that isn't good. From your description of what all happened, it sounds like it is in fact overheating. After you reseat the HSF, make sure you monitor the temps with SpeedFAN or Coretemp

SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

Core Temp

I'd say as long as it doesn't go over 50C you're fine. If it's up around 60C you'll likely have issues. If it isn't heat, you might have a dud CPU. Is this rig OC'd?

45 idle? That is indeed high. What cooler and thermal paste are you using? And how hot is it in your room?
