| i haven't read all the replies.. but i was reading somewhere that you can disable the "last modified" or "date created" or something like that, and it will speed up the time it takes to load.. but i think it was for avi files and not photos. but maybe there is something similar for pics. here's a link for the avi one.. | Colonel Calamity | So are the photos/files also opened or modified by Vista? if so then this may be related to Vista modifying the information so that XP is having problems reading them properly in the explorer view ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair!
