| Software problem...smells like you might need a reformat, as annoying as that is. If you're drowning in spyware, it may take more effort than it's worth to save your current installation. And if you can't find any spyware or viruses, then it's clearly a Windows problem that IMO won't go away until you reinstall. |

| I'm Diggin it! | Now is a perfect time to invest $30 at NewEgg and download a copy of Acronis TrueImage. This way, you install Windows, do all of the updates/security patches, install all of your programs, get all your drivers installed and activate Windows etc. Then, make a backup image and name it Clean OS Install. In the notes section of the backup, you can get specific about your installed apps and updates. Next time this happens, or if you lose a drive, it takes all of 15-20 minutes to reimage your drive, or a new drive, to a clean, fresh, fast as hell OS environment. No fuss, no muss. Just good computing. | Thanks folks, I will take this all under consideration. But in the meantime, I broke down and joined with the dark side = I bought an X-Box 360. All I can say is WOW!!!! Call of Duty 3 and Rainbow 6: Las Vegas are amazing! So am busy with those for awhile. Guess I won't need too much speed just E-Mailing for awhile :) Quakindude, I already have Ghost, but I might check that other one out later (after the 360 newness wears out ha ha) ASUS A8N32 SLI DLX (1103 BIOS) AMD 64 X2 4400+ 3 GIG Corsair XMS RAM SB X-FI Extreme Music (2) EVGA 7900 GT CO (12.03 BIOS) in SLI mode and 84.56 drivers 500 GIG Seagate SATA II HD (3) Maxtor 350 GIG SATA I HD LG Lightscribe DVD burner Liteon DVD burner 3.5 floppy (4) 60mm fans (1) 120mm fan Gigabyte G-Power Pro CPU cooler Silverstone ST75ZF monster PSU |
