I leave all my Rigs on 24/7. I don't pay for power, so that's not really an issue for me. My wife Downloads a lot of TV shows we don't get over here, so her system is always on too. Between the 3 of us we have 5 computers on pretty much 24/7.

my monitors turn off after 5 minutes without use. It's always doing something and I use it so much that both standby powering down would be inconvenient,

All of my machines run 24/7. They're folding all day and night. I turn off my 3 flat panels though. They're new so I'm nice to them, but I let the others that flat screens just sleep without turning them off.
