Oh and use drivercleaner to clear out any old driver remnants.
vaio, indeed, drivercleaner works very well!

The options will be in your bios settings.
Re Drivercleaner......just select the old drivers/driver remnants you wish to remove, once you are in it's pretty self-explanatory.

Turn on your computer, and hit either del or F2, there should be a message that says something such as "Press del key to enter setup" or something similar. Disabling shadowing and BIOS caching should be listed under BIOS configuration or something similar.

Manisare, before being helped further, please list your computer specs in a signature as instructed to do when you first sign up for this forum. It will be much easier to help you based on if you've built it yourself or if it's a pre-made(HP, Dell Etc...) box.

To do this, Look at the top of this page. In the middle of the page under HardwareLogic is a button called Quick Links. Click on the down arrow next to it, then click on Edit Signature. You will then be presented with a "Post" style box titled "Your Signature." In that box, list your system to the best of your ability. Once done, please post back in this thread and I will tell you exzactly how to disable those things.
