I have used Fedora, Suse, and Mandriva lately. I am having issues installing it on my server with an ASUS A8N VM CSM mobo. I can't get it to run right. I did some checking and that MoBo has issues with linux. Hopefully I will replace it soon and Ebay that sucker. Its a great MoBo is all you do is run Windows XP. If you use any other OS forget it.

Wow what a troubleshooting experience. I would have been lighting candles in a circle and praying to the computer gods well before the third try.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

When you get to the point of selling it, shoot me an email or instant message. I still need to replace my girlfriend's computer, which was fried long ago. Ended up 'stealing' the kids' rig for her to use, but I'd like to get them set back up once school starts again.

obviously Paul you have a hell of a lot more patience than I do, lol......I probably would have went Ted Turner on its @$$ (refer to the episode of Robot Chicken, an Adult Swim favorite of mine, where Ted Turner dresses up as Captain Planet and goes around kickin people in the b***s, rofl).......and then would have gotten a beer and tried again, lol. Here's to a successful fix! :thumright:

No, here's to a successful fix: Click the image to open in full size. lol.

And killswitch83's right. It takes a lot of patience. That accounts for about 90% of our work as computer enthusiasts. Or, in the words of Thomas Edison, "Genius [that's you, Paul :P] is one per cent inspiration, ninety-nine per cent perspiration." Click the image to open in full size.

So I guess that means that Paul's a sweatball.
