For one, your 8600GT is a DirectX 10 capable card where the X1950 is not.

You will be hard pressed to find any enjoyment in DX10 titles of the moments while keeping a decent framerate at a decent resolution using a 8600 series card, though.

That is very true, I was just merely pointing out the fact that he will probably be better off, and enjoy his upcoming 8800GT, GTS, or GTX purchase over spending money on a last generation X1950 video card.

Agreed. It would be a strange move to purchase a card from an older generation (albeit maybe in certain occasions a bit more powerful) instead of going for something a bit more recent although maybe a bit pricier than the deal Blake is offering.
