I may have somebody, if you don't mind relatives. My sister is 27, lives a few cities away and has repeatedly lost everything she's earned up through a series of bad relationships and has never had her own computer. Sounds kinda like a shameless plug for family, but I'm just throwing it out there since everyone else I know is pretty well set with at least one family PC.

I do like Athildja's idea of getting the companies to chip in, maybe like donate working or repaired RMA's and excess stock and take it off as charity or however they do it. Also by getting companies to work with us we could spread the word more and reach people who really need a PC, but I'm not too keen on how those big businessmen would react.

We can always skip the companies and just work with local state agencies.
The are always looking for donations for families in need.

I'd love to set something up with a Veteran's agency.
I know there are a lot of guys with physical/Emotional issues who could really benefit from something like this......

My only concern is that there are so many, and I know we couldn't keep up with the demand, as much as I'd like to. What would be awesome is if we could get companies to donate older stock that we could do something like this in a large number.

INTEL QX9650
ASUS Maximus Extreme
4GB DDR3-1600
Sapphire HD 3870X2
Danger Den Torture Rack (Custom W/C)
Seagate 750GB HDD
BFG ES 800W PSU

It would be worth the effort :)
I can try to get in touch with Dell, Compaq, even Asus or some of the other larger channel partners.

I see we're missing boards, I can donate a Biostar 478 Socket board. Dont know the exact specs, came with a Celeron D (was a microcenter bundle)
think this is it:
Biostar P4M900-M4 Socket 478 Kit w/Celeron D 315 2.26GHz CPU Biostar P4M90M4-COMBO63 P4M90M4-COMBO63
I have the celeron D (posted to prove my bro's old northwood fried) and the board itself, with the Driver CD i think and Box too.

So you want to put both the Biostar P4M900-M4 motherboard and Celeron D 315 2.26GHz CPU up on the Parts List?

I think Rich (Capper) is taking all the current donations. Try contacting him for the latest details on what is happening with that stuff.
