if you find anyone in massachusetts that needs a rig i'd be more than happy to gather/build the rig and present it, personally or through left-click, whichever you would prefer.
otherwise i'll see who donates what and see what we can do with the LC inventory

So far the response in only a couple of hours has been incredible, several companies and sites want to participate in this venture.

A lot of really great people are getting involved, which can only help this get bigger, and involve more people.

If you need help with assembly, let me know. Shipping costs out my my pocket may be tough (my work is for the good of man, not for money) but I should be able to get a few myself when needed.

Thanks HL and Corsair!

I'm impressed that so many would jump on, especially big names like Intel. I've been wanting to do this for a few years, taking old computers and rebuilding them for people who need them.
From personal experience, my family could never afford a computer. It was like one of those magic boxes the schools had and I always wanted. It was a pain, having to go through school with all the teachers assuming you had internet access and wanting everything typed up and not written in pen. Not to mention life itself going digital, and working without a PC became harder as more people expected you to have one. So I fully support this, and anything you need help with Rich look me up.
One thing I thought of, what about soldiers stationed overseas or in the combat areas? If we could donate a few computers to families that have people serving out of the country, they could stay in contact much more easily.

That's a very good idea Capper. As always I'll try to find stuff to contribute. :)

If there is a final hour, let's hope for a higher power. One by one, and two by two, I have ammo, what about you?

No, we're going to take care of disabled veterans and soldiers.....and let me explain why.

These guys coming home with physical and emotional problems are going to have a hard time adjusting and integrating back into society. something simple like a computer can help in that it allows them to adjust, and socialize on their terms by being able to send emails, participate in forums or support groups, do research, and simple stuff like help with schooling.
