| I'm Evil | Anything that can be used is great....I'm still in the process of organizing and assembling....so there is plenty of time. One thing that has really bugged me about doing this....all these organizations that are supposed to be there for helping the veterans....I'll email them, telling them what I'm trying to do, and they will say its nice but they are looking for things like stocks and bods, and new laptops.....must not need stuff all that bad if they don't want anything else. So i'll be giving this stuff directly to guys we find (once i figure out how many we have) and to local organizations that we come up with (We have a non-profit here that helps homeless vets find benefits, jobs, and health care). Guys, I want to thank everyone who has contributed, and spread the word.....I wanted to give you guys an update. I have a stack of stuff sitting on the floor of my office, and will this weekend start putting some of it together. i will followe that up with a detailed list of what we have, and what we need to finish the systems i have here. i know right now we need a few PCI-E video cards, DDR2 memory kits, and cases. Olin, from Benchmark Reviews has been a huge supporter, donating 6 power supplies, and he'll be bringing some cases down when he is in town for CES. If you have anything you are not needing, or wanting, please never throw it away or destroy it, it can always go to a good home here, where we'll pair it up with other older parts and help our community grow. | I've got a 512MBx2 DDR400 Kit laying here. Kingston ValueRAM, 2-3-3-5 (I think). Also have a Sony DVD-RW DL drive laying here. Need 'em? EDIT - The dell I'm trying to test the memory on won't post with either stick, I suspect it may be the Dell though. Drive is a goner though. EDIT2 - One stick is posting but Memtest86 is giving errors right away, other stick is still a no go. Sorry :( Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 Conroe @ 2.80GHz Cooler Master GeminII - Thanks Rich and HL! | Colonel Calamity | yes yes yes I have a 939 cooler it is a TT Venus 12 (P/N A1744)... I bought it about 4 years ago because the specs listed it being SocketA compatible and when I got it it was only 939/940 compatible... but never sent it back since I thought I would be getting a 939 someday not too long after and never used it, it is still in original package so I will get that sent off very soon. ![]() Thanks HL and Corsair! | I'm Evil | Thanks guys....remember, no high end stuff just stock coolers or stuff no longer needed or wanted. As long as they work with s939, we're good to go. I need to come up with some DDR2 kits, which I'll probably just buy, and some PCI-E video cards (doesn't matter how old).....I have plenty of AGP cards, but need 5-6 PCI-E video cards....so if anyone has stuff like that, let me know. I'm hoping to have 5-6 systems done by the end of the year.
