Ah, thanks for that! Too bad I used AS5 on my NB and SB when I redid the thermal paste on them....

I only use AS5.

I've never understood the fuss about conductivity. It's designed not to be conductive until it's under heavy compression - and I've never had a problem with it - even after a dozen tubes worth between AS 2, 3, and 5

It's just the fact that it's made with silver particles that makes it conductive. I (and I'm guessing some other people) like to play it safe and use Ciramique on parts with no heatspreader (like Tyreal said).

Heh. I didn't even notice there were replies to this thread...

To continue... hehe.... I use AS5 too. It's good stuff. I used it in my laptop and dropped temps about 7 degrees.

An old-style plastic toothbrush, and a lighter for stripped screws.
get the handle end of the screw driver to the soft, almost melting stage, then jam it in and wait a few minutes. turn and it's out

I like having my ubuntu boot disc handy, since not only does it give you access to a partition editor and whatnot, but it also comes with memtest by default, so you can get double the fun on one disk.

The one thing I always wish I had though is a paper clip... I can never find one when I need it....

Yeah, I got to that page, but don't see a link to the .iso file. Am I supposed to just build the CD myself with the suggested software? Nothing shows up as a link for me.

The other problem here, is that the Hirens boot cd is pirated software!!!
To keep things up and up, your best bet is to use Bart PE!!!!
