I cover that at the end of the article. Chances are that you have to get a better PC to run a version comparable to Leopard, say, Home Premium. You have to either upgrade or move to a new system. A Mac Mini runs $599... Price is pretty close.

Why would you want a Mac? Unless you edit video, or work with graphics, Macs are just another overpriced pre-built computer.

Hehe, that's what I do.

So yes, I've got a fanboy base, that's established. But not every user games... and that's what those freakin' endless amount of Mac ads are attempting to put out.

Well don't get me wrong... You wrote a VERY good review, especially for people that have macs and PCs OR for those that are considering buying 1 of the 2. BUT, while I try to not be rude, most members here are not considering a mac, so that is going to end up being the biggest factor in a review like this. Most people on this site are primarily custom builders (of all degreees),overclockers, and modders. But for those that don't fit into those categories, you did a very nice job!

I'll have to agree with you. I knew that this article would get flamed by the obvious facts of gaming and the fact you need a Mac . Plus, you don't get the fun of a custom built PC. When I come around to buying a PC this summer, I don't know what I'll do. It'll probably end up being a PC though, but with a custom case (like Blake's!).

If Mac was available for PC (legally, mind you), it'd be so much easier to make a migration. There's an idea Apple!

I need some type of job where I just write; I seem to be good at it... haha, I should apply for stuff like that. Or I should go into Journalism... Radio/TVs too much fun though.

If OSX were available for a PC then there probably would be a lot more people running it. I could see Dell and HP selling OSX. I wouldn't mind a dual boot comp running it also. As it is right now though there are very few computers running it overall.

Michael Dell himself said that if OS X was available for PCs, he'd ship all the Dells with OS X by default.

There's a willing market, but a tight mentality at Apple.

If they would just wise up at Apple, they could take such a huge chunk of microsofts profits from OS sales... I would bet they are keeping on MACs because they think they are selling more hardware/PCs and they fear they would lose those PC/hardware sales. But I would bet money they could take a large portion of those OS profits if they came up with a universal OS X (a scaled-down retail and a business version of it).

They're worried about losing exclusivity and the decreased sale of their products. If OS X was universal, no one would buy a regular Mac. They'd just beef up their PC with the saved money.
