Agreed. SATA hard drives have come down to about the same as PATA drives. Optical drives are quickly approaching that point too, but are still usually a few bucks more than their PATA counterparts. I think it is totally worth it though, I hope I never have to buy another PATA drive again!

Ya, PATA's on it's way out. With SATA drives pretty much the same price, why would you get a PATA drive?

I just want to toss in using twistie ties to aid in wire management duties. They are nice because you can hold wires out of the way like with zip-ties, but they are reuseable. So you can secure wires out of the way, then easily add more wires to the secured bundle later on as needed without having to replace the zip-tie. But zip ties are easier to use in the first place and last longer, so I've found using both together for taming the spaghetti beast works great.

Zip ties are definitely reusable!

And I know you like the "go behind and thru the back" part...dont lie...! I put that there on purpose...you connect the damn zip tie in whatever direction it's in.

If that's for SATA, I wonder what you'll think about my PATA cables...
