| Thanks Parker and Raid for the input. If the temps are with a good range why fix what ain't broke. |

| Do i scare u? | Umm.... If it ain't broke, take it apart and mod it!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() Jk jk, your fine with your stock cooler me thinks, I would just re-apply the thermal paste on the card, that dropped my temps 10c on load. I don't see anything higher than 51c on this card, idle temps are at 41c. ![]() (BTW, I've got the single slot cooler also.) ![]() |

![]() Do you want the best temps possible? Or just better than stock? Are you overclocking? Edit: Assuming that your getting an 8800GT, the VF1000 will perform better, AFAIk. ![]() Last edited by Parker; April 27th, 2008 at 08:30.

I was thinking 8800GTS or 9800GT or the next gen depending on when I do the switch but a high performance card which I will voltmod and OC the crap out of it. so I'm not interested in sound levels just performance. in the meantime I just read a review on the zalman and...well I'm not overwhelmed at all. actually I'm very disappointed and I don't understand how can a good looking (coolingwise) cooler perform so lame. the accelero: well that was my first choice since I first saw it and read about on it on the net and it seems it remains for now. the cooling performance is extre, considering its just air cooled not water or better and the price is right also ![]() check out this review of it. for $24 you can't beat it: Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev 2 VGA Cooler Review and this is the zalman:techPowerUp :: Zalman VF1000 LED & RHS88 Review :: Page 4 / 5 Main rig: Chieftec modded case,MSI P4N Diamond, D830@3.48Ghz,1.4V,928FSB 2GB patriot Extreme Performance 6400@900Mhz, 4-4-4-17 Inno3D 7900GT@542Mhz/1.6Ghz, Thermalright SI-97 Samsung 320GB, Maxtor 250GB; Antec 500W Swiftech NB, Asus StarIceBlue CPU cooler; XP Pro Laptop: Dell XPS 1530 (T7500; 3GB 667 RAM; 160GB 7200rpm HDD; 8600GT; Vista 32bit) my 6800LE mod

| I would opt for the accelero over the zalman as well. It seemed to perform quite well when it was reviewed. |

| Do i scare u? | Well then I guess the accelero is the way to go then! ![]() You might also want to check out the Thermaltake DuOrb, it's also cheap, like the accelero. ![]() |
