haha, the only time i'll ever give this CPU any more than 1.5v is if its cold in here :p

I used to have a "crappy" water cooling kit...the Gigabyte 3D Galaxy, the first version. It wasn't bad. I always idled at 22c, load temps were about 45c (at 1.65v, full load, 2.8 GHz suicide benches, lol)

Since I went back to the stock AMD heatpipe heatsink (reason why below), i've been running at either 2.4 GHz in the cooler months, or stock (HELP) during the warmer months, only because it can get up to 90 degrees in my room.

I switched from the water cooling to stock air because like an idiot, I had the water pump plugged into basically a Y connector that went to my CD drive as well, and one of the pins fell out one night, causing my water pump to stop working. It barely fell out, just far enough to make the water pump shut off (and temps were still under 50c lol), but I had a friend coming over that day, so of course, I grab the stock heatpipe heatsink, the water cooling kit, my computer and a few spare parts. When I was ready to leave my friends house, I somehow forgot the water cooling parts, after figuring out that it was perfectly fine. Of course, I get home, and my friend Joe leaves me a message while i'm on my way back, saying that the water cooling is sweet. For about a year, he considers the kit as his own. I just recently got the kit back, and somehow he broke the clip to hold the water block on. Perfect reason to upgrade!

since it's a long post:

Cliffs:
1.65v + stock heatsink = no way. 1.5v max, depending on ambient temps.
2.4 GHz during the cooler months, stock during warm months.

took my computer and spare parts to friends house, accidently forget my old water cooling kit, friend uses it for a year, returns it with a busted clip.

btw: I just Installed my Corsair HX620w :D :D :D you all have no idea how happy I am :D Friggen Antec NeoPower 480w.

That was a nice long post. The end.
