Note that uZDriver now will suppport pretty much any laptop, so there is room for additional profiles. Hmm, we do not seem to have any direct driver / laptop related topic out there, do we? | Re: Welcome matt x Thanks... uZDriver was first designed for HP-zd8000 laptops (where there is definition of 'model' and specific hardware). Now I moved it to more general level hardware support, but to work, it still needs 'profiles', i.e. URLs and What-to-look for defnitions. Given that: * URLs of the sites where drivers are posted * Driver text (saying to uZDriver to look for: Intel Chipset <driverversion><size><url> in these pages) is supplied once, it can check the local driver versions and compare them to the site, so you do not always have to go and check them one-by-one and can perform this regularly with few clicks. (so other people too can get the most of their system by just choosing their model no). If you are still interested (or if anyone else) let me know, I will post the simple guide for profile creation (i tried to simplify it a lot so should be rather easy) and will help on it. The final version of v1.5 will be out very soon so any interest/comments/suggestions will also be good... Thanks, - Matt |
