Well, it's been quite a while, but stuff is back underway.I have the strips of ash for the hoops all cut, and pre-bent, i have the cherry plywood for sides, and i am thinking i will use canary wood, or yellow heartwood for the top and bottom pieces of lumber. The ash is pretty pale, the cherry is a bit pale, but i will stain it to a darker more red color, and i need help deciding what you guys would think look good. A specific color and intensity would be nice to hear, just to see what you all think.Oh, and as soon as it's done, my armor will be up for sale.

Sooooo, how about some pics then?! It's kindof hard to recommend stain colors when we don't even know what this wood looks like!

It's the original Armor in black.
I'll get pics of the cherry plywood up tonight hopefully, the ash strips are in the woodshop atm

This is the Armor i have
Newegg.com - Thermaltake Armor Series VA8000BWS Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Computer Cases
The rear 120 was replaced with a TT thunderblade, still blue LED's.
it has a few case stickers on it, but i can remove & WD-40 them before selling. I don't have a price for it yet, but you can make a pre-sale offer...(if that's allowed)

I plan on getting a HD expansion bay kit and cutting a hole in the front of the front panel, mounting it in that, then i'll be able to get the guts in fasta

Does anyone have any ideas about a neutral looking (just black or dark gray) expansion kits?

Also, should i light it up green or purple?

Thanks for the help

Once you guys give me that, i'll give you moar pictures

A nice rich green would go well with the wood. It'll be like some crazy techno-forest!

And I would go with a dark stain.

I would go with a careful mix of green and purple and give it a very "magic forest-esque" vibe. And perhaps you could do a two tone stain with a lighter gold shade, and a dark cherry perhaps.

And also you should obtain many leather bound books and your apartment should smell of rich mahogany.
