Glad it makes sense now.
I'm so excited saturday i get solidworks and i get to ditch prodesktop. WooT to friends with connections!
prodesktop crashed 4 times while making that simple shape...

So it's going to be a very thin case that stands vertically? how wide is it between the "forks"?

It'll be a bit smaller than the armor, then the hoops will go over it.
the angle is a bit decieving, but the dimensions are correct in the CAD drawing.

I plan on the case itself being notably shorter than the armor, enough so it's not stuipid-tall, (not that the armor is reasonably sized ) and an inch or so thinner to make up for the width of the hoops, then the hoops go on

3 inches wider then the armor, and about 2 taller, if not the same size.
Once i get a good looking image in solid works, i'll post images of the rendered 3D model, blueprints with dimensions, and a textured model with shading etc.

Just need to learn it first...Shouldn't be too bad though, i already know my way around a few other CAD programs very well.

so i'm staring a cad session tonight, while i wasn't able to get solidworks on time, i'm using prodesktop for the time being, so we'll see.
hopefully i'll have some pictures up tonight
