Most mods take far too long and not many people on these forums do it anyways. Dittos

Good job Lead! I bet a lot of thought went into component placement in an enclosure like that!

Without a metal base, how are you grounding the Motherboard? What do you plan on using this rig for?

That looks awesome. You should have an optical drive, where you normally put in the tapes.

The PSU's own ground lines seem to doing the job fine...

It's just the family rig, no important job.

Heck, forget the VCR... how about picking up a DVD player from the dump and using the original 5.25" bay from the player to house a normal slot-loading drive? It'd fit a lot better than VCR

No, he meant what type of standoffs are you using to mount the motherboard.

Ohhh...The VCR's casing had plastic standoffs for the original VCR PCB, the motherboard isn't mounted in anyway, it just sits there, the cramped space inside keeps it in place.

I hadn't thought of that. I suppose the motherboard to a VCR would need standoffs too. Cool! I oughta try something like that sometime :) BTW, do your parents run Linux?

My moms laptop runs Windows XP, and so does my main rig. But she knows how to do basic things in linux, like get on the internet and check her mail
