Just wondering, for the heatshrink, could you use a hair dryer?

Yes you can if your hair dryer is hot enough.

I didn't see mention of Arctic Silver 5 and the awesome two part Arctic Silver cleaning method. Much better than all the alcohols combined in removing old TIM.

I use a hair dryer to get old stickers off of a computer i.e. windows licenses, case badges, and also works on cars motorcycles and anything else that has stickers. Doesnt leave a residue and the stickers come right off.

Thanks for the tip, most often I used a blade to remove Windows liscences.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Compressed air. Either canister or air compressor. Great for cleaning up your work area and your project.
