Vacuum forming isn't all that hard, but for only one time, yeah a hassle it would be.

Yeah, for molding I'd have to suggest using Bondo over fiberglass unless you have access to the tools needed. You could just always get some vacuum bags and use a pump to siphon out the air and extra resin for about 50-100 bucks, but setting everything up for just one shot isn't worth it like Polo said.

Fiberglass isn't necessarily hard, but more time-consuming. However, the end product is nice.

I say it's heavy because at least in car audio, fiberglass enclosures (GOOD ones) way a bunch because they're made thicker to prevent leaks.

$6 for a 18"x24".

So I'd need like... 5 or 6 of those... not bad... How'd you cut the PG? Score and snap?

Yep, I scored it with a box cutter (a nice, new sharp one) about 20 times, then put it on the edge of a table and snapped it.

LOL, yeah... I tried to convince my dad that we should have gotten one while we were at Home Depot, but he didn't go for it... How expensive are they?

Not bad, you can get a decent one for about 30-50 bucks. They're well worth it, I couldn't live without one with a hole saw attached.

OK, sweet! I definitely want one now... When I have the money... I'll probably have one by my new modding project.

OK, so thinking about dimensions of 18"x8"x17" (LxWxH). About the size of the Centurion 5, which is what I was comparing it to. Needs about 4 sheets of plexiglass, but I'll make it 5 for safekeeping.

Depending on what I see at Home Depot when I go, I'm thinking that I'd outline the edges of case with that 90 degree bend aluminum things... I don't have the foggiest idea what they're called. For the side panel, I'm thinking I've using lock mechanism to hold it on. I don't really know how to explain it either, but I think it'll all come together.

Otherwise, I'm off to a decent start. Plus, if I want a tint, I'll go buy those cheapo car window tint things at Wal-Mart.
