| Finally an update! Today I received the Thermalright IFX-05 chipset cooler and the Thermalright backplate which is going to be paired with the D-Tek Fuzion to prevent the board from warping. ![]() Included was the cooler itself, Thermalright's own blend of thermal paste, the instructions sheet, and a Thermalright sticker. ![]() ![]() The chipset cooler itself is pretty big compared to the stock DFI heatsink. You can definitely see the resemblance between it and the other tower-like CPU coolers that Thermalright makes. ![]() ![]() And now it's time to install the monster. It's a pretty straightforward affair. There are two M3 screws which go through the motherboard... ![]() And then the cooler itself goes on the chipset then two little thumb screws to secure the cooler into place. There is a different installation procedure for motherboards that utilize the "hook" type mounting bracket rather than the "hole" type way, but I'm not going to go into that because my particular motherboard uses the "hole" type. ![]() And that's pretty much it! I used Arctic Silver Ciramique BTW not the included Thermalright compound (I have no idea how it performs). ![]() ![]() ![]() And that's my mini review of the Thermalright IFX-05 chipset cooler. Would be complete with some temp results... I also got the Thermalright backplate. Luckily, the stock D-Tek mounting hardware are the same thread as the Thermalright backplate. ![]() I put the screws like this: ![]() ![]() And it's on the motherboard: ![]() Until next time... I did that for quite some time, untill I started an ebay business selling computer parts .So whenever I need some $$ to buy something, I just find a good deal on like a video card, buy it, and sell it on eBay :) | |

| Bowser pwner. | Lol, I've never gotten allowance. My parents always used to say (and still do say) "if you want it, you can buy it". So that's when I started my business :) |
