No, tubing is right. The inlet/outlet on the DDC's are the oppisote from the D5's.

you could always jumper the green and black wires on your 24 pin connector and fire it up

That's what I did to test my fans. Works great!
Just get a paper clip and put one end into the Green, and the other into one of the black ones.
