The way the picture has it is : RAD>PUMP>CPU>RES>RAD etc....
You'll get better flow on the block that way and better temps than the way you have it now.
But if you have it Pump>RAD>CPU>RES you'll get much better temps, that's the recommended way to do the loop.

Just my $0.2

Another update so soon? How can this be?

I got all the wiring done. Observe.

Took some time, but looks pretty darn good to me.

Here is the dilemma guys... the bay res that RAID sent me is having problems.

1. It's cracking, and I don't know why:

(bad pic I know... Stevie Wonder strikes again!)

2. It's growing something:

And I can't get it out.

I noticed there was some stuff growing in it, so I tried flushing it with distilled water. That didn't work, so I tried Isopropyl Alcohol (91%) and that didn't work. I went out, and when I came back it had that crack in it. I suspect my little sis, but of course she denies it.

Should I get a new res or try to salvage this one?

the res was a bit cloudy when in sent it to you but i'm certain there weren't any cracks in it. its pretty sturdy and i'm not sure how you could get cracks in that middle part. as far as the residue, you could probably get a the end of a wire coat hanger and wrap the end with a cotton ball or paper towel and wipe that stuff off.

Yeah, it's definitely not your fault man. The stuff started growing yesterday I think, but I didn't have any liquids in it, so how could that happen?

I'm at a loss as well... should I still use it or should I get a new one?

If none of the cracks are on the external sides parts, its fine to go ahead and use it............;) Inside the rez won't hurt a thing.

You might try using a little white vinegar to soak the insides with to remove the crud, let it soak for a while and flush with distilled water.

Is that good for the acrylic? I've heard that acrylic is chemical-retarded so to speak
