Looks like you're right on the thread size...

After doing some research of my own, it looks like you need a 1/4" BSPP 19 TPI tap and 11.8mm drill bit. Check out part numbers 8328A22 and 2958A157 at McMaster-Carr...

That's a total of almost $30! I would be cheaper just to get 5.25 bay res or T and fillport. Thanks all the help though.

So why couldn't you put the res on the mobo tray next to where the opening is for running cables through?

The tubing run from the res to the pump was so tight it was almost kinking. And it was bending the bracket for the res, and eventually it would have kinked. It's just so much easier to get a T/fillport, and that's what I think I'm going to do. Thanks again guys!

OK, but I still think you just need to get a little more creative and you can make it work

How did it work out for you? I hear they are really hard to bleed...

well i don't have any other experience to compare it to as this is my first water loop configuration so i really can't say its any easier/harder than a t-line. i thought the bleeding wasn't difficult. i've probably drained/filled my loop about 15 times since i've had it and the only thing i don't like about this res is the fact that you need a filling syringe to get it 100% filled with no air pocket. but that's being really picky as having a little air bubble in the res never hurt anyone. i've moved to a tube res now.
