Nice. I love that site, it's like a giant candy store. 42.5 CFM is pretty decent and it's under 25db, so I think it'll fit the bill perfectly. It's also cheap and I can get it sleeved, w00t!

I'm still at work!!!! The military blocks absolutely everything, so no image uploads off my thumb drive atm. I'm actually using a proxy server just to access these boards...lol

I'll post them sometime within the next four hours.

Ok. Here's what you guy have been asking me for all day...the pics. Now, before you get too excited, these are crappy quality and kinda fuzzy, but they'll get my points across I think.

First, here's the ol' Sonata in all its former glory, before Dremel treatment.

Next, this is after complete disassembly, but not before I started cutting (Sorry, forgot to snap a few before I started getting carried away.) The arrow on the left is where I cut out part of the HD mount to allow a cleaner airflow path for where the 92mm will be mounted. The second arrow points to one of the tabs that needed to be cut to recess the fan all the way up against the bays. Again, work in progress, still need to make all of the cuts, clean them all up, and test fit a fan in there.

And here's a back shot after I removed the honeycomb portion of the stock grille. It needs some cleanup and shaping to make it a rounded hexagon. When it's done it will have another blue LED fan to match the intake, but this one will obviously be a 120mm version. The new grille will be one of these MNPC Tech billet mesh grilles. That will give me enough coverage not to show the old hole from the outside and it'll look pretty sweet with an all black paint job.

That's all for today, but I'll have more up hopefully by the end of next week and I should have made some decent progress by then. The only other real items on my mod list are a full windowed side panel made from some neon blue acrylic and a top blow hole that will also be 92mm, and utilize some more billet and acrylic accents.

Hope this will keep you satisfied until I can make some more headway on it. I'd rather post in large chunks of progress rather than little tid-bits here and there. It'll be a learning experience for me, so I can't wait to see how she turns out.

aaaahhhhhh, I see what you were talking about now with the front panel. That is a very interesting setup there, I don't think I ever seen anything like that! So you are going to fit the 92mm fan inside that indented area of the front panel?

Those billet aluminum parts are going to look good, but that's gonna get expensive!

Ya, I saw some billet aluminum handles for a case for sale online once. A pair was $50!

Yeah, it may cost me a little more to give it that extra little bit, but I'd rather buy items like the aliminum pieces rather than find somewhere locally to machine them for me. That would probably wind up costing me more in the long run. I still need to bring the case over to the powdercoaters to get an estimate on the job...we'll see how much that'll run me.

Let us know what that is gonna run ya because I plan on powdercoating my case too. I called a local place where I live and it sounded like it wouldn't be more than $30 - $50.
