HAHA, good. Glad you like 'em because there will be much more green on this thing if I can ever get it even close to finished

Mmmm hmmm, looking good, even if you're deviating from the original plan. Nicely done! PS I'm back online! :D

Welcome back!

Here are some more pics of further progress on the new frame:

This new design is MUCH stronger and easier to work with. I think I will be able to finish up the frame tomorrow and be able to start on the PSU bracket and back panel.

That is awsome!!! I will bet that the angle is a ton easier to work with instead of them little square blocks.

Most probably, and it will still look great. Keep up the good work man, can't wait to see this project finished. :D

Indeed it is. I've quickly noticed Aluminum is definately my modding material of choice; even more so than acrylic. I'm still going to use the acrylic corner cubes here and there for a few things, but for the most part, they have been eliminated. Despite all the setbacks, I still plan/hope to finish this project (although probably later than sooner)...
So sit back, relax, grab a cold drink, and watch me construct this case at a snail's pace!

I'd like to do a acrylic case sometime using a strip heater to bend the main body of the case. FYI a strip heater is just 2 aluminum plates that are bolted together. One has slotted bolt holes so you can set the gap between the plates. A heating strip is placed below the gap to heat the plastic so it can be bent, the gap of the aluminum plates determines the radius of the bend. I used one of these to bend acrylic for incubaters in a plastic shop I worked in. There is also a glue for acrylic that work great also.

Yeah, that would be cool. I've got a heat gun for that same purpose, just haven't gotten around to trying it out yet...
