| I'd like to do a acrylic case sometime using a strip heater to bend the main body of the case. FYI a strip heater is just 2 aluminum plates that are bolted together. One has slotted bolt holes so you can set the gap between the plates. A heating strip is placed below the gap to heat the plastic so it can be bent, the gap of the aluminum plates determines the radius of the bend. I used one of these to bend acrylic for incubaters in a plastic shop I worked in. There is also a glue for acrylic that work great also. |
