Yeah, I could, but the cuts (as you can see) still aren't very good and are a little off. I don't think there is anything I can do at this point to be happy with the result unless I start over. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day, eh?

Hey! Nail polish sounds awesome, and I have some black if you want to give it a test run on something! Just say the word :)
Don't get bumbed about the panel too much. If you were indeed thinking about me I'm flattered, and I still believe your project will be a success!

You could make both slots slightly larger and in the correct proportion and it would look good.

Actually, YES! I would love to give your black nail polish a try, thank you :)

Yes, I suppose you are right. I guess I will consider it, I just didn't want them to be too big. I guess I have some thinking to do... I can smell the sawdust burning already! :o

I'm actually not sure yet. I was thinking of just doing a couple of those 4" or 6" UV CCFL's (one for the top and one for the bottom). Whatever it is though, it will be on a switch of some kind so it can be turned on and off.

Well, it was another frustrating night of successes and failures with the SOTO case.... :?

First, and foremost, I have oficially determined to never ever build another case completely out of acrylic again. The stuff is just too prone to accidents. Secondly, I am ditching the corner cubes as the primary frame of the case. They are all like 1mm off in one way or another and it is making trying to work with all the panels a total nightmare. Sometime this week I will get myself some aluminum angle to replace the corner cubes. I will drill and tap holes in the angle to line up with the holes already drilled in the acrylic side panels.

But determined to get something more out of the night, I started work on the PSU bracket...
Here we have the piece of aluminum (purchased for a few bucks at the hardware store) all masked off with the cuts marked and ready to be hacked up:

After swearing and fighting with the dremel and somehow breaking the shaft, I finally got something kindof cut out:

...pretty, ain't it??

But after some fun, fun filing, I got it to look a little more like it should:

And it fits!

I still have to design, drill, and cut the outsides of the bracket, sand it all down, and paint it gloss black after all is said and done but I'm happy with the progress so far. :)

Well, tonight was spent working on the new revision 2 frame...
This time I went with 3/4" aluminum angle and it came in eight foot sections!

Not very friendly to the wallet though :(

Pieces of correct length were then cut and clamped in place on the edge of the panel for drilling:

This allowed me to perfectly align any and all holes drilled (unline with the corner cubes).

Then the holes in the aluminum frame were tapped for 6/32 screws...

And fastened to the panel:

Still much more cutting, filing, drilling, tapping, and screwing to be done. Sounds like a heck of a night don't it?!
