Ever so close.....

The base is going to be a 5 layers acrylic, smoke-clear-smoke-clear-smoke, to diffuse the bright green LEDs. I cut out the center to eliminate excess weight. Creating a solid piece of acrylic is easy enough, but I wanted to hold back as much light as possible. This will make the base bright but not the room. So while gluing I lifted the acrylic before cure to add in some air bubbles to aid in the dispersion of light. This idea kinda backfired, since I couldn't get a good seal on the finished edges. The final look though is what I was looking for though.

With the dragonmeter installed I moved on to the window. With the os being preped. The deadline is near with a LAN party eagerly awaiting Jaded's debut.

Using a couple of screws to keep the window aligned properly I was able to mount the blades one by one.

Now the test fit....I have to admit I love the look....

Wow, that's really coming together! Those "blades" look pretty bad ass, but I feel like you should have painted them the same color as the rest of the case. Still very nice though.

That was a thought but I really feel it would have been too much.

I just noticed the blurb in there about the "dragon-meter". Do you guys have those available for purchase again now? Is the soldering assembly process just the installation of the LED's or do you have to solder the other components too?

Finally!!! The end...ok not so but the project is done. I will post a little later with some final shots.

The Custom bezel was a bit tricky but worked out great, better than I had hoped. Carefully measuring took the most time, measure 500000000 times then glue once. I actually cut away the paper to allow the glue to flow between the the pieces.

The holes just below the bezel are the LCD adjustments and power. Once set and polished they will just collect dust but are there just in case. A simple CD tool will be used.

Now the final step.....instal!!!! 790i mobo, Q6600, cooled with CoolerMaster GeminII, 4 gigs DDR3, 3 1TB Toshiba drives, 2 8800 gt's, and power'd by PCP&C silencer 750.
