We've talked to Lokie and Twisted about adding their work to the HL Forum Member Of The Year rig for 2007, so as if you needed any motivation to get more involved....there it is.
LOL ya, when I looked at that pic

Hey gang, well as luck would have it, I am going to be doing another Antec 200mm in blue for another customer who seen the project on PCApex.... I will see what I can do about getting pics and doing a small write up on the process to put up on DragonModz and I will be sure to link it back up here.... :) I think its going to look even better in Blue :D

Until then, hasta.....

I will probably shoot that tomorrow.

Some of you will notice a change in scenery, hence the new bench. I'm still pondering the final layout of the window, so I will continue with the routing of the video cable for the monitor mounted on the side.

I was contemplating on haven Twizted shorten the video cable but, if it ain't broke don't fix it, was my final choice. After measuring it out it's only an extra 12". That can be tucked behind the panel if needed. This monitor is quiet simple, the power is supplied via an external brick and routed in the video cable. This saves allot of space for mounting. Progress thus far.....

Like I said in the last post I had to pull the monitor off to trim the original mounting holes off for a cleaner look. First step was pulling apart the LCD. I love theses new cans from life savers, the snap lid holds tight and is easy to pop off and make excellent screw containers.

Inside there is the controller for the LCD and the inverter for the CCs.

Now to trim off the fat...err excess metal.

I kinda want to buy a buttload of LEDs from you guys. They look way cheap. And I just bought 1 x 18,000 mcd LED from fry's for 5 bucks, and... yea.

So that means I'm gonna buy a bunch from U guys and probably do something with my case + 30 LEDs. U've inspired me :)

check PM

Damn Lokie, installing that LCD on the "dead side" of a computer case is one hell of an idea, my biggest, and only concern would be HEAT!!!!

LCD monitors put off a huge amount of heat!!!

Actualy the moniters them selves don't, its the power supply that generates the most heat. Since this one is external power there should (crossing fingers) be no problem.
