![]() I've been pretty busy the past couple weeks, with finishing school and friends etc.... So I haven't done anything to the case really, I just need to make that bracket for the PSU, and paint the case, and thats pretty much it. I have a little surprise coming in on wednesday though. So stay tuned. ![]() | |

| Ghetto systems rock. It looks pretty sweet. What keyboard is that in the last pic Parker? Looks kinda Mac-ish but I don't think it is...I can't remember if this was discussed previously (for some reason I want to say someone brought it up before in another thread). It's there super thin one, best 50 bucks I've ever spent. ![]() ![]() I can type much faster on this compared to ye' old honky tonk keyboards that have keys standing 3/4" tall. ![]() Actually, before I could only type about 48 words a minute, now I can type around 60. ![]() I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a new keyboard. Best on the market, AND it works great with Vista or XP. But really, I have to be honest with you guys here. I am a Mac guy, my main machine is a Mac mini (also the best $600 I've ever spent), It does everything I need it to do and I get the nice OSX environment I really like. OSX is nothing like Vista or XP, it's sooooo much easier to work with and use. It runs smoother and has much more features on it. I really like tinkering with PC's though, I'm a real enthusiast in that area. Watercooling, Overclocking, Benching and the extreme. I love that stuff. I also use my PC for gaming (of course), as my Mac doesn't have very good on-board graphics. I've taken my Mac apart though, the second day I got it. ![]() My mom and dad were like "You did WHAT?!?!?! to your new Mac??" lol... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's really amazing how they managed to cram all that into a little square white box....and it doesn't get hot either! 50c max. ![]() It's a 1.83Ghz Core 2 Duo Socket M proc, pretty small. It's a microITX board BTW. So yea, a little OT, but thats my other world. My friends explain me as "A mac I.T. in a PC enthusiast body". ![]() ![]() Back on topic, I've got a little something coming tomorrow!!! Can't WAIT!!!!!!!!! | Bowser pwner. | UPDATE!!!!!!!!!! 5-22-08 Woohooo!!!!! My package came yesterday..... Looky looky!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() My 8800GT card stripped down naked!!! ![]() And also, on the desk you can see my thermal paste, it's some special Arctic Silver 5 mixture, it's two parts. Mix them together to make the paste slap a little blob on the ram/mosfets and stick your heatsinks on. Wait 5 minutes and it's stuck on! But they can come off, get a little heat on them and carefully pop them off, works swell. ![]() I didn't want to use that el' cheapo sticky tape on the back of the sinks as I know they don't work well. ![]() Took a couple minutes to install the heatsink, didn't get any pics of it though. But heres the finished product all hooked up and runny smooth. Temps are low 30's idle and around 42c load. ![]() Oh and, check out my awesome ghetto rubber band mod!!! ![]() Last edited by Parker; May 22nd, 2008 at 12:42. |
