I should be good, cuz 8800GT's don't put out to much heat and neither do P35 chipsets, it's the quad that'll be putting out the heat ![]()

| Bowser pwner. | Hey guys! Just thought I'd let you know what I just ordered from the egg: Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail Newegg.com - CORSAIR XMS2 DOMINATOR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX ATX12V / EPS12V 650W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CE, CB, TUV, FCC, CCC - Retail Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Black 20X DVD+R 8X DVD+RW 12X DVD+R DL 20X DVD-R 6X DVD-RW 12X DVD-RAM 16X DVD-ROM 48X CD-R 32X CD-RW 48X CD-ROM 2MB Cache SATA 20X DVD±R DVD Burner - OEM I decided to go with the dominators instead of the crucial because they are more reliable and because they have better cooling. ![]() The total cost of that order was $512.84 shipped, + theres $90 in MIR's!! MIR's FTW!!! w0000t!!! Can't wait to get some hardware!! BTW, I've decided to keep the striker mobo, because I found out that the board is kinda "special", it's the ASUS Striker Extreme "Green" board. Not sure what thats supposed to mean, but in my way of thinking... it's an ES proc. ![]() So, I will post more updates once I have more updates! Thats all for now folks! ![]() |

| T-Rex | Hey nice, I bought the same burner. It's super stuff, not exactly silent but not hyper noisy either. Edit: As for the video card, yesterday while talking about flashing a 8800GT I flashed mine to 700/1728/2000 over the stock 650/1620/1900, it wasn't very hard. Here's the quick process; Get your original BIOS either using Nvflash, NiBiTor or GPU-Z. Under Vista x64 NiBiTor won't work, so use GPU-Z or Nvflash (DOS utility). Keep this file, you might need it later. Open NiBiTor, open BIOS and modify clocks to what you want. Try not to go too crazy, it's better to go slowly and overclock it with ATITool or Riva Tuner (if you're able to make it work under Vista x64) After modifying your BIOS, save it to a new file. You want to keep your original BIOS in case something goes wrong. Make a bootable USB or bootable DOS CD with latest Nvflash (techpowerup.com has it) and both your original BIOS and new modded BIOS. Boot from CD and flash your new BIOS. Reboot, enjoy. :D Last edited by polobunny; March 5th, 2008 at 12:04. |

I don't like noisy burners... I hardly ever burn dvd's anyways, I just play games, so it shouldn't be too loud.
