Don't worry, it's not stolen stuff.
The guy works for HP and he got these to work on some "top secret" HP machines, and then after he was done they let him keep the hardware, which he didn't have a need for.

But thats all I can say.

I'm not an expert on psu's myself, but you might want to go over to the forum's at jonnyguru.com... they'd be able to give you a pretty awesome opinion for power supplies.

Yea, I'll probably be getting a new PSU.
Anybody know any good 640w+ PSU's that are Modular?

Thanks guys!

I'll try and keep that in mind....

But anyways, low end antecs have been pretty meh for me, the one I had was loaded with fuhjyyu caps... which are terrible if you let them heat up at all. And since it was in an hp case, well, it got hot, and died.

I've been really impressed with corsair psu's, myself... might be a good idea to look into a corsiar psu... they pretty darn nice. I had both of my friends get them when they needed new psu's recently, a vx550 (powering a pair of 1800xts) and a tx750.

I wouldn't be surprised if you're neopower could handle that system... but I dunno. I'd certainly want something beefier.

EDIT: Took too long writing again, lol....

But anyways, Corsair HX Series CMPSU-620HX 620W Power Supply at ZipZoomfly

I've heard nothign but good about that psu. And the price isn't too bad either.

Ha, thanks Mat!!

I'm considering selling the 2900XT and getting a GT or GTS 512mb though. Because then I wouldn't have to get a better PSU, save money...

What do you think guys?

I'm not a big ati fan, so that sounds like a good plan to me. Especially with the board you have, since then the sli option would be open for you.
