| HL's Technomancer | I've got a 3 blue 120mm fans and a blue 250mm fan, and all of those get outshined by the Tracers. I love how they flicker from orange to green as they jump across the RAM when the computer is stressed, hard to describe unless you see it. Add those in, and if you add in an orange cold cathode or change the silent wheel in the back to a orange 120mm, the case would have a vibrant but not overwhelming orange hue. |

![]() And your right, the tracers may look better than the corsair.... But the thing is, everything in the case is going to be Black and Orange, I need something thats a different color... like the silver on the corsair. I'll think about it. Edit: Wow I must be really slow, two more posts before I finished one.... Quote:

| Bowser pwner. | Ok guys, thanks to Stormy and Oldman I've decided to get the Tracers! ![]() I can get the 2GB 800Mhz Cas4 kit or the 2GB 1066Mhz Cas5 kit. Which one should I get? Also, Everyone needs to read THIS post, it's on the page before this one. It talks about the changes I'm making to this build! (only thing I've changed since I posted that is the memory). BTW, what do you guys think of changing the name of this build to "Sunkist"? |

Personally, I have the 1066Mhz kit, and I can get it up to 1200+ stable at CAS 5. Either one is fine, as they perform exceptionally well but the 1066Mhz kit has more advertised headroom. Sunkist...ehh, needs more punch, something like Sunburst has more of a catch to it. Last edited by Stormcrow; February 23rd, 2008 at 19:06.

| Bowser pwner. | Ok guys, looks like I'll be ordering the mobo, memory, HD(s) and the dvd drive tonight!!!! w0000000000Tttt!!!!!! ![]() But heres the dilemma... i can't decide on the HD I want to get!! ![]() I'm a hard core Seagate fan, I don't buy any other drives unless there given to me for free ![]() I can get the new Seagate 250GB Sata HD with 32MB Cache for $$80 + $6 shipping from Newegg. Or... The Seagate 320GB Sata HD for $80 shipped for Newegg. Or... The Seagate 250GB Sata HD for $70 shipped from Newegg. I'm not doing any special RAID or anything, it's just simply one OS on each HD. ![]() QUESTION!: Will I see a noticeable difference in speed with a 250GB 32MB Cache drive vs. a 250GB 16MB Cache drive? Which drive should I get? Last edited by Parker; February 23rd, 2008 at 20:38. |

| oh noes | I'd get the one with the 32mb cache personally, just because I'm pretty sure that's seagate's latest set of drives, I believe... not 100% sure though. And Im not sure if it's really a performance increase... but it's probably the newer model. ![]() e8500@4ghz|Asus P5k-e WiFi| 4gb OCZ ReaperX|2x 3870's|1.3tb storage space|MSI tv tuner. |

So I don't think I'll really benefit from the 32MB drives, so I'll get a 16MB drive. In that case, I'll go for the 250GB as I don't need a hole lot of space. ![]() Last edited by Parker; February 23rd, 2008 at 21:18.

![]() ![]() BTW, you would notice a difference in Photoshop with the 32MB cache over the 16MB, especially if you use the same files over and over again. Same for games with levels. They'll load faster with 32MB of cache. That's what I've read, but I personally have not had the chance to test it myself.
