What grit sandpaper are you using?

I think that part of the issue is, the optiplex bezel is a very course plastic, and has all the dimples in the plastic itself.

ooohhhh, well, if that is the case, then I would suggest using a very coarse sandpaper to start out with (250 or 350) and sand out all those little coarse bumps in the plastic. Then finish it off with 400 and 600 (and maybe even 800) grit to get it nice and smooth for the paint. It will probably look much better. Luckily, plastic sands pretty easy

Well, when I was getting out the paint, I started off with a 100grit (it worked quite well... I need to go over it with some higher grit sandpaper.
