Wow, that's an interesting fan. Is it from a hairdryer maybe? I have no idea...

UPDATE:

I removed the heat-pooler-exhaust-thing as it seemed to actually raise the GPU temperatures, but I left the shroud that leeds outside on. I also installed the Hair-Dryer fan

Here is a nice chart to show voltage-noise-airflow relation

Voltage--Noise--Air Flow(Air flow is estimate)

14v--VacumeCleaner--150+CFM
12v--Slightly-Less-vacume cleaner--130+CFM
7v--Semi-Quiet--70CFM
5v--ReallyQuiet(no longer anoying)--50CFM

Its a 6 sided ruler thing with a different scale on each side, Yes the fan is about 3 inches
