You probably don't have to do a complete reinstall just for a video card...

Yea i know. But this is my brand new system, and i want it to be brand spacking new. Fresh installation with everything.

I'm just formatting my OS Partition anyway. Thank the lord for two hard drives :D

I am also going dual boot ubuntu later on this afternoon. I sure hope to God that it doesn't freeze when i play my games. 3dmark05 hasn't locked up yet. *knock on wood*

that is so weird. It still froze!!! It must be something else in my system!

I went into the BIOS and changed some of the settings.

PCI-E Max Payload from 4000 to 2000. HT Width from up 16 and Down 16 to up 8 and down 8. Increased PCI-E bus speed from stock to 1 mhz higher.

It seems to be running 3dmark 05 just fine now.

EDIT: 3469 3dmarks in 05. No lockage. I am :D
