come on man! No one cares about Idle temperatures, its the load temperatures that really matter.

Run prime 95 on that baby for an hour and see if its still alive!

I put on the Zalman VF-700ALCU cooler on my X1600 PRO and it seems to run just great! I ran two loops of 3dmark 05 and no crashers (i scored 4130 and 4155 respectively) but when i ran 3dmark01 it locked up. WEIRD!

I'm going to run COD2 for a little bit and see what happens.

I went to Anitec today and the videocard worked fine on their computer. Never the less, they exchanged it for a XFX 6600GT.

Wierd stuff. Hopefully this one works better for ya! I have the 6600GT and it's a great little card, you'll like it :D

Runs a lot cooler than the X1600 too...

hahaha. I have two now. Remember, one agp, and one pci-e.

I sure hope this XFX one has temp sensor enabled.

Yep, it should. If not, there is a tweak you can add (think in the registry) that will enable the temperature functionality on the 6600GT. But I have an eVGA and it's worked fine with all kinds of different driver versions. Although I have discovered that the stock cooler on these is pretty worthless, so it's a good thing you have that VF700!
