Very nice job. The end product looks flawless. Might play around with it when I'm bored.

See, now you should detail this out, and show everyone how you did this, and put it into the user review/guide section of the forums

Very nicely done:congr ats:

When I did this to an older computer, I used a strip of velcro to fix the face place on, so I could easily remove it if I ever had to, and some old legos to super glued to the back of the plate to touch the eject button.

The first time I did this I made the mistake of using super glue. Velcro isn't a bad idea, but I use double stick tape myself. You don't need to make a mound of tape to hit the eject button.

I tried to post this last night, in AZ on dial up, All you need is a door stopper for a cabnet door. You know those little rubber ones. I place the stealthed cover on (with velcro, it's easier for me to get it just right) and use a razor blade to trim it down to get the right height.

These do come in all shapes and sizes.

It really depends on the tape and the drive. I've always used the double sided tape with the thin layer of foam in the middle, so it actually has thickness to it. This will (obviously) lift the bay cover off the front of the drive tray, requiring a small mound of tape or something over the eject button.

I've also found that some drives have a rounded exterior on the tray, so it reduces the amount of surface area you can easily adhere to the back of the bay cover. In this case, velcro can work better than tape, especially if it is the double sided tape that is paper-thin (not the foam stuff).

I looped some electrical tape around its self instead of double sided.
